Up to one-third of the world's food supply is pollinated by bees, and without them, many fruits, vegetables, and nuts would not exist. They are also essential to the health of our environment, as they help to maintain the balance of nature by pollinating the plants that keep our air and water clean.
OUR LITTLE FARM
It's what's on the inside that counts
On our little farm, most of the bees are rescued from local properties, mostly residential and commercial. We have our main base in Siusega, which is also our nursery, where we closely monitor new beehives. We take great care of our bees and make sure they are healthy and strong before sending them out to their new homes. We also make sure they are properly protected from predators and pests. We strive to provide beekeepers with a reliable source of bees for their apiary.
Pollinate Samoa is dedicated to conserving bees and raising awareness about how important bees are.
Aside from that, Pollinate Samoa works to protect bees from climate change, such as habitat loss and pesticides.
On the island, a significant number of pollinators would boost agricultural production. Moreover, it would promote sustainable development and strengthen the connection between people and nature.
